AboutA place that reminds you of your God-given value
We’re a church where the Bible and the good news of Jesus transforms and heals people.
We draw from the wisdom of the aged, the passion of the youth, and the innocence of the young.
With the Holy Spirit’s influence, we want people to encounter the healing presence and magnificent love of God.
We’re a place where every person, no matter their past, can understand God’s grace and forgiveness.
Gregory and Grace Dickow founded Life Changers in 1993, with a vision to see a multicultural church built upon the unfailing promises of God.
Gregory Dickow, one of America’s leading Bible teachers, is motivated by an unstoppable passion to dismantle the barriers and limitations holding people back from their God-given destiny.
His revolutionary “Fast from Wrong Thinking” has become a global phenomenon that has transformed countless lives around the world from the inside out.
He hosts the international television ministry, The Power to Change Today—reaching millions of households weekly, here and around the world, and helping people find healing, hope, and transformation through Jesus Christ.
Grace Dickow’s life passion is to introduce women to a deeply intimate relationship with Jesus. As an educator and founder of Valeo Academy, Grace empowers teachers and students to experience their God-given potential.
Greg & Grace Dickow consider their five children to be the greatest blessing of their lives.
Who is Jesus?
We like to say that we’re a gathering of happy, imperfect people who love Jesus. At the heart of that statement is a real person who has really changed our lives.
Because of Jesus, we can admit we’re imperfect. Jesus is the Son of God who came on a rescue mission to bring us back to God. He lived perfectly for us. He died on the cross, paying for our sins. And He rose again so that we could have everlasting life.
Jesus is the person who brings us together. And He’s made us happy because His love has made a way for us to be forgiven and forever accepted by God.
For us, Christianity isn’t a religion. It’s not just traditions and rituals and rules. Christianity is a relationship with the real person of Jesus Christ.
Every Sunday, at every small group, and every gathering of our church, we are singing about, talking about, and learning about the radical acceptance of God that we have because of Jesus. We hope you can join us as we grow to know and love him.
Built on the word of God, our beliefs infuse everything we do.
in one God, revealed as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(1 John 5:7-8)
The absolute inspiration and authority of the Holy Scripture is given by the Holy Spirit.
(2 Timothy 3:15-16)
God calls every Christian to be a member of a local church. Psalms 92:13 says, “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish.” And Jesus said, in Matthew 16:18, “The gates of hell will not prevail against the Church.” Being a part of the physical expression of God’s Church is vital for a victorious walk with God.
The priesthood of the believer is that all Christians have equal status and direct access to God and the throne of His grace.
(1 Peter 2:5, Hebrews 4:16)
Salvation and justification is by grace through faith in our Lord’s blood sacrifice on the Cross at Calvary.
(Ephesians 1:7 and 2:8)
God is on your side. We believe you can make it!
Water baptism is an outward sign of an inward change and identifies each believer with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
Man was made in the image of God and is the crown of His creation. Man is, prior to salvation, by reason of Adam’s sin, spiritually dead and alienated from his Creator. But now, we walk in our covenant rights and royalty.
(Genesis 1:26; Romans 5:18-19)
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers— empowering them for evangelism and equipping them for personal edification and the edifying of the church.
(Acts 1:5-8; 1 Corinthians 12, 14)
God is not Mad at you, but He is Mad about you!
Gregory and Grace Dickow moved to Chicago, not long after they were married; and began holding Bible studies in a hotel conference room.
Beginning with just a handful of people, the church officially started in 1993, while meeting in an elementary school gymnasium in Elk Grove, Illinois. This newly founded non-denominational church grew rapidly and attracted a dynamic congregation with the rich message of God’s grace and love.
Now 25 years later, Life Changers currently serves two locations and our Online Global
Church Community. Life Changers is one of the most unique multicultural churches in America strategically positioned to reach Chicago and around the world.
